Explore the components of early reading instruction defined by the National Reading Panel and the International Reading Association. Build a knowledge base for each component, apply that knowledge within a classroom setting, and construct a portfolio of teaching strategies for each component. This course culminates with the creation of a final capstone lesson plan that will incorporate each early reading component for use in the classroom.
